“That’s Magic’ Magic Set Review

Ad/gifted for review

In Spring 2020 my Uncle passed away.  He wasn’t particularly old or poorly and his passing came as a huge shock to everyone but especially my Auntie and cousins.  He was one of the first people stolen by Covid19.

We live in a different county and so sadly didn’t see this part of our family very often, but whenever there was a family party, my Uncle would do magic tricks.  He would light up if you asked him about magic and when he passed, his memory grew into a movement of magicians and muggles alike performing tricks to #keepthemagicgoing.  We’re yet to add ours to the many videos shared in his memory, but since we now have 325 tricks to choose from, perhaps it’s time!

This is a biiiiiiig box of tricks amd would make a great shared gift for siblings.  There’s a comprehensive instruction booklet but also a QR code and log in details to access videos.  I wasn’t a big fan of the videos and preferred the booklet but everyone learns differently.   For most children you’ll need an adult to read, understand then explain how to do a trick.  The instructions are quite complex and the images a bit small.   I wish the tricks were graded by difficulty but alas they aren’t.

There are a few simpler tricks that older children will be able to do all by themselves but learning magic together makes for a lovely Christnas memory.

While there are indeed 325 tricks, there aren’t that many props.  Tricks use the same props in different ways and thank goodness because imagine trying to store 325 props!?  I wish sets like this came with a storage box or bag of some sort as I’m already envisaging the devastation when we lose parts. 🤣

The props are good quality and Dorothy was able to learn her first trick in just a few minutes.  She remembered it enough to show her friends later that night!

I think this would make a lovely gift and as a special treat, I have a set available to win over on Instagram.   All you have to do to enter is follow me and comment on the reel.

Love Rachel ❤
