Clean Hands Potion Hand Soap

Who could have predicted that as we approach Halloween, we’d once again be facing the prospect of a pandemic induced lockdown.

At the beginning of the year we were washing our hands so much that they became red raw and sore.  Dorothy, frustrated with being told she had to rub the soap in for longer and longer, started to refuse all together.  In the end I had to find a bar of sparkly pink soap to convince her.

We can’t hide it, but we can at least make it fun

Children can sense when something’s wrong, however hard we try to hide it.  Little things like the grown ups insisting that they wash their hands when they wouldn’t normally, are clear signs that something’s going on.  We can’t hide it, but we can at least try to make it fun and I think this clean hands potion does just that.  And it couldn’t be simpler.

You will need

Liquid soap

Plastic bugs

Ribbon to trim

Method

  • Don’t twist open the dispenser as it will make things messy
  • Carefully peel off the label
  • Unscrew the dispenser and push three or four bugs inside.  Fasten and give the bottle a shake.
  • Simple!  I did originally put a label on the front but it peeled off quickly when it got wet and made it hard to see the bugs inside.

Now all you have to do is place the potion in your bathroom and wait for the magic to happen 😂

Love Rachel ❤️
