Milk Churn Upcycle

I found this milk churn in the charity shop and bought it for a couple of pounds.

It looks like it’s already been ‘shabby chiced’ once or twice but the paper is now peeling and I don’t love the brush strokes on the top part.

I began by giving it a bit of a clean.  Then I used an enamel spray paint to give the churn a uniform winter white.  I’d planned to decoupage with some Christmas tissue paper but seeing it all white like this, I decided to leave it as is.  That way I can use it all year round.

I decided to add a little piece of pink velvet ribbon  just to give it a bit of festive luxury, and then I filled it with dried lunaria.

What do you think?  Would you have decoupaged? Or would you have stuck with winter white like me? Bonus pics of Audrey being gorgeous with her bottle brush beard! 🤣

I’m looking forward to filling this with corkscrew Hazel in Spring and showing off some decorated eggs.

Love Rachel ❤
